The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle book One) By: Maggie Stiefvater

“There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve,” Neeve said. “Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.
His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.
But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.
For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

(Goodreads)

Well I really loved this book!! But it took me forever to finish it. Which never happens... I usually, when I really like the book, finish it in one or two days. This one took me almost an entire week.  But it was really good, it was super interesting, it was new and it was odd. It had many different point of views, Blue, Gansey, Adam, Whelk, and Neeve. And it would randomly change, so at times it was very confusing. What bugged me was Blues mom and semi-aunts. They knew what was going on, but wouldn't tell anyone what it was, making it harder and they could have avoided some things from happening. But it was so awesome. And unique, all the characters had flaws, in one way or another and that made them human. Whereas, most books have near perfect characters, that then at one point will become perfect. Boring. But this, this was amazing, I really came to love the characters, and they all had there own demons to fight against, some worse then others, but it was amazing. Now the ending made me scream, it was such a cliffy, I love and hate cliffys, they make the wait for the next book agonizing, but also it makes the wait worth it (sometimes). And the mystery of the book kept me on edge the entire time. I absolutely did not expect some (most) of the things that happened!! Like Noah being dead, I should have realized some of the hints of him being dead, but I didn't and it was such a big shock. It was slow at times, but the story had a lot of things to explain which made it understandable.
Absolutely loved this book!! :D

Witch Ball (The Seer series book 3) By: Linda Joy Singleton

"Someone who loves you will cause your death. In five days, you will die."
Strange things are happening to Sabine again, and this time it's not her predictions that are coming true. In the last book Sabine was given the Witch Ball, and in this one you find out it is haunted by  vengeful spirit. And the three predictions before Sabine has happened, now it's  time for Sabine to save herself from her death.

I think this one was great. Slowly but surely Sabine is becoming more open with her seer ability, and I like that she is becoming more confident. The main high school problem for Sabine in this one, is the threat of Evan telling Josh about her past, and I was hoping he would, and that Josh would be horrified and then Sabine would realize her love for Dominic!! But, alas, it did not happen so. But it was close enough. Dominic told Sabine how he felt about her when she was pretty much, almost, dead. Causing Sabine to realize her love for Dominic. Which made me super happy!! :D But then there's Josh, who, just so happens to not believe Evan in his stories of Sabine's past, believing it to be lies. Idiot. Anyways, the series is slowly getting better and more interesting, as the story progresses and Sabine slowly realizes her powers are not bad. And as Nona gets worse, the stakes are higher and Dominic and Sabine are more desperate to find the cure.
Now the ending.. Oh my flipping gosh!! I absolutely can not believe that her mom wants her to move back to San Jose, after all her "anti-seer stuff/anti-daughter" actions!!

Don't Die, Dragonfly (The Seer Series Book one) By: Linda Joy Singleton

After getting kicked out of school and sent to live with her grandmother, Sabine Rose is determined to become a "normal" teenage girl. She hides her psychic powers from everyone, even from her grandmother Nona, who also has "the gift."
Having a job at the school newspaper and friends like Penny Love, a popular cheerleader, have helped Sabine fit in at her new school. She has even managed to catch the eye of the adorable Josh DeMarco.
Yet, Sabine can't seem to get the bossy voice of Opal, her spirit guide, out of her head... or the disturbing images of a girl with a dragonfly tattoo. Suspected of a crime she didn't commit, Sabine must find the strength to defend herself and, later, save a friend from certain danger.

(From GoodReads...)
Personally the goodreads things doesn't do the book justice, and that's one of the reasons why I didn't pick up the book sooner. It just didn't appeal to me, but one of my friends said... READ IT!!! So I did, and I LOVED IT!! Why didn't I read it sooner.
Characters:
  • Sabine Rose: Meh.. MEH I didn't really like her, I know throughout the book it always went back to Sabine being kicked out of school because she wasn't normal... But she just annoyed me, A LOT !! She would ignore what her spirit guild would tell her all for the sake of being "normal"  understandable, but Sabine was just so idiotic at times... Meh
  • Penny-Love: there is gonna be problems with her later on in the series, I just know it! Otherwise, Penny-Love was just an annoying cheerleader.
  • Thorn: I absolutely love her!! She didn't appear in the book much, except near the end, but Thorn was just so fun and kick butt.
  • Dominic: I have a feeling he is going to be very important soon... Otherwise Dominic was just on the side lines working with Nona. Oh, and he talks to animals.
  • Nona: the poor grandmother !! Who is loosing her memory... And is also psychic
  • Josh: he is going to cause problems for  Sabine... Anyways, Josh is super nice that it gets annoying (I'm so mean)
I love this book, it's so interesting and has so much potential to be amazing. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who wants an amazing mystery. :3
