Don't Die, Dragonfly (The Seer Series Book one) By: Linda Joy Singleton

After getting kicked out of school and sent to live with her grandmother, Sabine Rose is determined to become a "normal" teenage girl. She hides her psychic powers from everyone, even from her grandmother Nona, who also has "the gift."
Having a job at the school newspaper and friends like Penny Love, a popular cheerleader, have helped Sabine fit in at her new school. She has even managed to catch the eye of the adorable Josh DeMarco.
Yet, Sabine can't seem to get the bossy voice of Opal, her spirit guide, out of her head... or the disturbing images of a girl with a dragonfly tattoo. Suspected of a crime she didn't commit, Sabine must find the strength to defend herself and, later, save a friend from certain danger.

(From GoodReads...)
Personally the goodreads things doesn't do the book justice, and that's one of the reasons why I didn't pick up the book sooner. It just didn't appeal to me, but one of my friends said... READ IT!!! So I did, and I LOVED IT!! Why didn't I read it sooner.
Characters:
  • Sabine Rose: Meh.. MEH I didn't really like her, I know throughout the book it always went back to Sabine being kicked out of school because she wasn't normal... But she just annoyed me, A LOT !! She would ignore what her spirit guild would tell her all for the sake of being "normal"  understandable, but Sabine was just so idiotic at times... Meh
  • Penny-Love: there is gonna be problems with her later on in the series, I just know it! Otherwise, Penny-Love was just an annoying cheerleader.
  • Thorn: I absolutely love her!! She didn't appear in the book much, except near the end, but Thorn was just so fun and kick butt.
  • Dominic: I have a feeling he is going to be very important soon... Otherwise Dominic was just on the side lines working with Nona. Oh, and he talks to animals.
  • Nona: the poor grandmother !! Who is loosing her memory... And is also psychic
  • Josh: he is going to cause problems for  Sabine... Anyways, Josh is super nice that it gets annoying (I'm so mean)
I love this book, it's so interesting and has so much potential to be amazing. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who wants an amazing mystery. :3

Stalking Dead (The Vampire Hunter Series Book two) By: S.C. Reynolds

I still have no idea why it's the vampire hunter series... Anyways this book starts right where the last one ended. I really liked it, and the mystery of why Rory was back from the dead just got more puzzling. In this one Lucas became a more important character because he had more information because of the company he works for.... Rory is stuck between Henry and Lucas, a human, more specifically her best friend since childhood, and Mr. Sexy Vampire, who she barely knows but has the hots for. Things get more complicated when two vampires are after Lucas seeking revenge for something that happened ages ago. Life is complicated for the undead girl.
I really like this one, it just continued the first book perfectly and I loved it. We learned more about Rory's situation and found out that there was someone else like her. His name is Tobias (now for any other book worms, the first thing that came to mind was Tobias [Four] from Divergent. Causing a minor fangirl moment...). Anyways... Tobias came back to life a year after he died, at midnight. Unlike Rory, he told his village and they treated him liking a god and sprinkled him with riches, they worshiped him. So of course there were people out to kill him... Perfect  :3
Can I just say that the cover to Stalking Dead has like a super smolder...

Living Dead Girl (The Vampire Hunter Series Book one) By: S.C. Reynolds

Boredom caused me to look for free books, and i found one that was actually very good!!
So the book is about Aurora "Rory" Stone who died May 21st 2012. It is now a year later same day, at midnight, the witching hour. Rory not knowing what to do, right after leaving her grave, runs to her friends house, Henry. Henry can't believe that Aurora is back... Ish. They don't know why she's back or WHO brought her back. And for what reasons that they did.
So this one starts off the story and I actually really liked it. It was interesting, and it was about a zombie girl that doesn't eat brains. It had me captivated from the first line, and it had many funny moments.
Characters:
  • Rory: she was actually very funny. She is dead, and back to life, but hasn't told anyone. Rory was a pretty strong character, and very likeable. She wasn't annoying, most of the time, and mainly concentrated on why she was brought back from the dead.
  • Henry: Henry is the reliable friend, that has been crushing on Rory since they were children. And was absolutely devastated when Rory died. So when Rory comes back, Henry is there helping her put all the pieces together.
  • Lucas: He is mysterious Vampire that was sent to kill Aurora but started falling for her. Near the end he became more of a main character, but he is just here helping Rory discover why she's back from the dead.
Love, love, love the book super interesting and had me hooked from the very first page. The story was very interesting, I have never read one quiet like it before. Definitely recommended for someone looking for a page turning book.

The Vincent Boys (The Vincent Boys Book one) By: Abbi Glines

OH MY FLIPPING GORSH!!! There are no other words to describe how amazing this book was :)
Now that I'm calm...
So this book is about Ashton (Ash) Grey. She has the perfect life: perfect boyfriend, Sawyer Vincent star quarterback, prefect grades, pastures daughter... But she's not happy, because there is a certain bad boy catching her eye, since they were five. Beau Vincent. The towns known bad boy, reckless, cousin to Sawyer, off limits. But Ash can't help but want him. And the chance comes when Sawyer leaves for summer vacation leaving Ash all alone. She wants to rekindle her friendship with Beau but things get steamy and they fall for each other. Summer goes on and Ash and Beau are spending it together free from the reality of the situation. Sawyer comes back early from his trip and weeks into the school year finds out about Ash and Beau's secret relationship.

The characters:
  • Ash: she is the perfect girl, every guy wants her, every girl wants to be her. Ash is supposed to be this great girl and wants to be worthy of Sawyer, but she has a dark side. She wants to be rebellious, she wants to herself. At times I loved her, at others, she was a bit annoying because she never fought back when she was being bullied. All in all I loved her character, especially when she was herself.
  • Sawyer: he is the perfect guy, star quarterback, caring, awesome. We didn't really get to know him a lot in this book because he was off in his vacation. But what we did see of him (near the end) was sort of jerk-ish. Sort of force full of his feelings, pushing them on Ash.
  • Beau: oh freaking lord, Beau is just perfect. Ish. Beau has a troubled past, his dad died when he was young, his mom never really took care of him. So he is labeled as the towns bad boy, trailer trash. But he is not all that he seems, underneath all that angst, trouble, and charm. He is a sweet heart. And loveable... Just perfect.
Oh goodness this book was great, started it today and finished it today, it was just amazing. Could not put the book down. It was so interesting and sad, but it was also aggravating because Ash and Beau were cheating.... This book has different point of view from Ash and Beau, and I absolutely loved it. It gave you a more in depth view of what the characters were thinking.
"Step out of my life. Like Hell."
That just made my heart melt... It had some PRETTY steamy kisses that made me blush. It might be a new adult book... But I don't know. Anyways definitely recommended to older teens that can handle REALLY steamy kisses.

Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices: book one) By: Cassandra Clare

So this is my third time reading it, and I also annotated my book (I felt so guilty at first), and I realized something, this book focuses on the Tess/Will relationship and Jem is not that important a character. I personally love this book, and enjoy it more that the Immortal Instruments (also by Cassandra Clare). This trilogy follows Theresa (Tessa) Gray, William (Will) Herondale, and James (Jem) Carstairs. Specifically Tessa.
Anyways... The book starts off with the death of a mundane (human) in London in the year 1878 that Will and Jem find, from there the point of view changes to Tessa, who lives in American. There, Tessa's Aunt dies leaving her alone because her brother Nate is in London working. she then receives a letter from Nate with a ticket to London. Now once Tessa gets to London she might as well have been kidnapped by these sisters called the Dark Sisters. Tessa is then stuck with the Dark sisters for three weeks, being tortured (ish) because Tessa has a peculiar power to change shape to anyone, as long as she has something of theirs. Then at the end of the three weeks the Dark sisters are getting her prepared to marry the Majister when she is saved by a sexy shirtless leather bound shadowhunter. Love at first hit... So anyways Tessa is now living at the institute with the shadowhunters there. From here there are trials, betrayals, and trying to figure out who the Majister is.
Characters:
  • Tessa Gray: She is such a strong and independent girl. She had gone through so much and was still able to be as "normal" as possible. With her being able to change shape, she has the advantage but, as in the book, she fears loosing who she truly is. Also I absolutely love her little arguments with Will, and her love for books.
  • Will Herondale: What can I say about Will, he is just so awesome!! He's the tall, dark, handsome boy of the trilogy with a mysterious past causing him to push others away from himself. Perfect :3
  • Jem Carstairs: In the first book he really isn't that important until later on in the book. But he is the kinder side of Will, he is Will's parabatai, but is bound to die... For now he is kind and gentle.
I absolutely love this book (as I said before) and I would definitely recommend this to those who enjoyed The City of Bones, Hush Hush, and other angel books.

Your Guardian Angel (book one of the Guardian Angel series) by:SkylaMadi

I actually really liked the book (considering that I got it for free on Kindle). It was interesting, it was about vampires, god/goddesses, and angels. And I love all three. It started off great!! "When I think of death, I picture a warm light embracing me in my sleep at a very old age. When I experienced death, it was completely different..." That line hooked me right from the beginning, and from there it was good and bad.
So the book is about Ruby Moore and her half vampire half goddess issue (at the moment). Her mom was killed when she was 16 by her step-dad (Hank) gone vampire turning her into a half vampire when a light erupted from Ruby stopping Hank from completely turning Ruby.  Then she tries to live a normal life as a human at her aunts house. It goes on to when Ruby is cured and goes to SS. Then there's some boy problems, girls hating on her, the norm. So at the school SS she is the 'bad girl' that every guy wants and very girl hates. So Ruby is always getting in trouble. Later on in the book she starts getting letters from a certain vampire stating that they had her cousin, who Ruby adores. So Ruby being the Mary Sue that she is, didn't tell Eli, her guardian angel, and escaped to the forest to confront Hank. Turns out it was a lie... So many people die and it's all Ruby's fault.
Characters:
  • Ruby: I actually really liked her at first, as the book continued she slowly got annoying.. Anyways, Ruby at the beginning was morbid and sarcastic. Absolutely loved it, she could hold her own, fought back against the bullies, ignored the jerks, awesome. Once she got to Sage Sanctum she got very annoying.
  • Eli: Oh my gosh!! Is there another word for him!!! :3 A side his hotness... He was kind of mean, he was very controlling. His relationship with Ruby was forbidden because she was a student he a teacher and the goddess no mating with angels... But Eli was just kind of annoying.
  • Mila: I think she is so sweet and it's sad how she was always bullied. Now what did bug me was how she sold out Ruby's secret of being a former half vampire to the school bully, Raina. But oh well, she's supportive of Ruby and very kind I really like her.
  • Hunter: sexy bad boy that nobody trusts... He is just so awesome... Personally I liked him more than Eli. But alas Ruby loves Eli
OH and he gave her a whistle to call him!!! Lord I want one!! All girls should have one :3 because I mean we could all use a hot angel.
(I'm very sorry if my review is not very good)

Sun Kissed (book two of the Guardian Angel series) by: Skyla Madi

Well what can I say... I didn't really like it started off descent, but to me, it slowly got worse. But it's still decent, as in, I still want to know how it ends.
Ruby Moore is depressed because her beloved angel is gone. Well it starts off like that... Anyways Ruby is depressed because Eli has been locked in a dungeon for three months because of his inappropriate relationship with a student and also it is a guardian/goddess relationship which is frowned upon. So for three months Hunter (who I absolutely adorable) is trying to court her. Slowly Ruby starts to care for Hunter until Eli comes back. They try to stay away from each other but they're in love and can't stay away from each other. Now the big problem in this one is the Higher power that calls upon Ruby, and Eli, to do there bidding.
Pros: it is still very interesting and makes me what to know what happens next :)
Cons: Ruby was very annoying with the "I love Eli, but I also love Hunter. And both are forbidden loves.." And her marry sue act -__-"
Otherwise this book is still great :3
