The Vincent Boys (The Vincent Boys Book one) By: Abbi Glines

OH MY FLIPPING GORSH!!! There are no other words to describe how amazing this book was :)
Now that I'm calm...
So this book is about Ashton (Ash) Grey. She has the perfect life: perfect boyfriend, Sawyer Vincent star quarterback, prefect grades, pastures daughter... But she's not happy, because there is a certain bad boy catching her eye, since they were five. Beau Vincent. The towns known bad boy, reckless, cousin to Sawyer, off limits. But Ash can't help but want him. And the chance comes when Sawyer leaves for summer vacation leaving Ash all alone. She wants to rekindle her friendship with Beau but things get steamy and they fall for each other. Summer goes on and Ash and Beau are spending it together free from the reality of the situation. Sawyer comes back early from his trip and weeks into the school year finds out about Ash and Beau's secret relationship.

The characters:
  • Ash: she is the perfect girl, every guy wants her, every girl wants to be her. Ash is supposed to be this great girl and wants to be worthy of Sawyer, but she has a dark side. She wants to be rebellious, she wants to herself. At times I loved her, at others, she was a bit annoying because she never fought back when she was being bullied. All in all I loved her character, especially when she was herself.
  • Sawyer: he is the perfect guy, star quarterback, caring, awesome. We didn't really get to know him a lot in this book because he was off in his vacation. But what we did see of him (near the end) was sort of jerk-ish. Sort of force full of his feelings, pushing them on Ash.
  • Beau: oh freaking lord, Beau is just perfect. Ish. Beau has a troubled past, his dad died when he was young, his mom never really took care of him. So he is labeled as the towns bad boy, trailer trash. But he is not all that he seems, underneath all that angst, trouble, and charm. He is a sweet heart. And loveable... Just perfect.
Oh goodness this book was great, started it today and finished it today, it was just amazing. Could not put the book down. It was so interesting and sad, but it was also aggravating because Ash and Beau were cheating.... This book has different point of view from Ash and Beau, and I absolutely loved it. It gave you a more in depth view of what the characters were thinking.
"Step out of my life. Like Hell."
That just made my heart melt... It had some PRETTY steamy kisses that made me blush. It might be a new adult book... But I don't know. Anyways definitely recommended to older teens that can handle REALLY steamy kisses.
